I co-taught the big strategic management module with Yiannis for a number of years. Rather than just teach some theory, his approach was to teach in a way that gave the students genuine skills they would need for their careers. It simply didn't matter to him that this raised the difficulty of delivering the teaching! In work, and in life, Yiannis was never someone concerned with the costs and rewards for himself. He was much more heroic than that...
